Pensamiento de un 15 de Septiembre lejos de casa

It was 12.58 in México 6.58 time of France. The phone ringing. My sister calling from the heart of my country. The zocalo is filled with souls, everybody joining the celebration.

I answered... ¡Viva Nuestra Independencia! ¡Viva México! (Viva) Viva México! (Viva) ¡Viva México! (Viva)… (Mexican Nacional Anthem playing)

I felt like I was there, I could see the lights in the sky, I could feel the heat of the Mexican hearts. Everybody proud, we are Mexicans... ¡A Huevo!.

A father talking to his daughter, she's to far away but the love in their hearts recognize each other. I'm part of him as he's part of me.

Ale is crying she needs her sister as much as I need her. We love each other. I’m talking to her… wherever you are I am and I miss you so much and I need you even more.

My mother shouts… this is beautiful, little coloured papers in green, white and red inundate the sky. They fall in the heads of a sea of Mexicans, everybody feels like crying. Some of they do.

I’m so far but I still join them… I’m so close we feel exactly the same. We are so lucky we were borne in the land of the bravest men, the land of the best mothers.

The land of the Aztecs and the Mayans.

Fireworks and the land shakes under my family’s feet. We are all together wherever we are, we are meant to have our hearts connected. Love is a hard feeling.

I love my country, I love my family.
